Ontario Engineering Competition

Third place finalist

2024-2025

The Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC) is an annual three-day competition that brings together more than 300 of the province’s brightest engineering students. After placing first at the university level, my team and I represented McMaster at OEC 2025, where we placed 3rd in the consulting category. Our task was to design a detailed solution to the large-scale engineering problem of traffic congestion in a hypothetical Canadian city. We outcompeted a handful of strong teams, with strategic planning, strong leadership and effective problem solving. My experience with OEC strengthened my passion for cross-collaborative engineering design and gave me experience working under pressure with real world constraints.

McMaster Engineering Society

Mentorship Coordinator

2025-2026

The McMaster Engineering Society is McMaster Engineering’s official undergraduate student society offering professional, conference, academic, athletic, social, wellness, and mentorship opportunities. As mentorship coordinator, I oversee and facilitate the operations of the MES Mentorship program, pairing students, organizing events, managing our annual budget and performing outreach to incoming students and community partners. This year, under my leadership and passion for student involvement, we have 100+ students involved in the program forming meaningful relationships to enhance their experience at McMaster Engineering.

McMaster Engineering Competition

Competition Lead

2025-2026

The McMaster Engineering Competition is the qualifying competition to be able to represent the university at the Ontario Engineering Competition. In 2024, I successfully placed first in the consulting category with my teammates, designing a thorough, plausible and innovative solution to designing a safer city under strict constraints for proposed stakeholders. After experiencing the value in competing in the MEC, I took on the role of competition lead for the same category. Now, I design, oversee and implement all logistics for the Consulting Competition, ensuring the best experience for incoming competitors.

McMaster Dragon Boat Club

Medalist

2024-2025

The McMaster Dragon Boat club is a team of dedicated, high-level students that compete in the competitive sport of Dragon Boat. As a paddler, I train upwards of 10 hours a week in both on-water and off-water practices. This past year, our team had top placements at Canadian Dragon Boat Championships in Montreal, securing us a spot at the 2026 IDBF Club Crew World Championships in Taiwan. Through my involvement with the sport, I’ve developed a deep respect for teamwork under pressure and the value of consistent effort. This experience has also sharpened my ability to perform in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

iBioMed Design Show Case

Project manager

2024-2025

As Project Manager for the McMaster Design Showcase, I led the development of a custom hip implant prototype for a patient with Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease. I coordinated timelines, delegated tasks, and ensured our design met technical and patient needs. I also oversaw the creation of our digital poster and 3D model, integrating visual design with engineering communication. This role strengthened my leadership, collaboration, and presentation skills while reinforcing my ability to manage complex projects in a digital environment.
